Cuidados y Limpieza de tus Joyas de Plata Gabiria™
Care and Cleaning
In this section, you will find everything you need to care for and clean your GABIRIA jewelry.
You should know that the methods for cleaning your jewelry will vary depending on the type of finish. Some of our silver jewelry has a distinctive whitish finish in textured areas. This finish is unique to our brand and is achieved through temperature processes. In this section, we will show you how to preserve and clean it.
For each product in our online store, you will find specific cleaning method information in the dropdown menu (Care and Cleaning).
The types of finishes we will discuss in this section are "Black Finishes," "Silver and Gold Finishes," and "Mirror Shine Finishes."
To properly care for any of our jewelry pieces, here are some general tips:
Humidity: Avoid exposing the pieces to water, such as showers, pools, and household chores, to prevent oxidation.
Store your piece in a closed place: Silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to air. Therefore, it is recommended to store your piece in a closed, dry place to reduce air exposure and better preserve the piece. You can use the product's own box.
Chemical agents: Avoid activities involving chemical agents when wearing your jewelry, including cosmetics and beauty products.
As we have mentioned, silver naturally ages and oxidizes. It is inevitable that sooner or later, even with these tips, you will need to clean your pieces to restore their original shine.
Below, we will show you the proper cleaning method for each type of jewelry.

This cleaning process applies to textured Silver jewelry and all gold pieces. To clean this type of jewelry, mix baking soda with warm water until you form a damp paste. Apply the paste to the piece and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Then rinse the piece with warm water. You can use a soft brush both for applying the paste and for rinsing. This will help you reach into the textures and deep crevices of the piece. Avoid using commercial silver cleaning products on silver finishes if you want to maintain the piece's whiteness and aesthetics.

Jewelry with this type of finish is darkened with black patina and then varnished for protection. To clean these pieces, avoid using conventional deoxidizing products such as baking soda or vinegar on the black areas. These products can damage the varnish protecting the patina and deteriorate the coloration. For proper cleaning, simply rub the pieces with a soft cloth using a bit of soap mixed with warm water. The parts of the piece that do not have black coloring can be cleaned with baking soda or commercial silver jewelry cleaning products.

These are the smooth and shiny silver pieces with no textures. Mirror shine finishes are the easiest to clean and maintain. You can use any method described here, commercial silver cleaning products, or conventional vinegar solutions.
